Anti-drug addiction campaign

Punjab is grappling with the raging epidemic of "drug abuse" among the youth. A survey suggests that 66% school going children consume gutka, tobacco or other drugs.

In a bid to bring awareness about the ill effects of drugs, CFI Churchinitiatedan anti-drug rally in Punjab on 18th, November 2018. Over 200 people participated in this campaign which covered major cities and villages that have maximum number of drug abuse victims.

With a purpose to educate the young generation about ill effects of drug addiction in their health, education, and relationships and every aspect of life, the CFI Church members raisedmeaningful slogans and held placards with written statements as part of awareness. Over 400 handbills were distributed to the public including shop owners, rickshaw pullers, and vehicle drivers.

The young generation in Amritsar is unaware about the ill effect of becoming prey to drugs. Unlike before drugs play vital role in lives of many youths, especially students who fall under the trap of peer pressure. This trap them to addiction and then spoil their health, relationships, career and future. Many are helpless and leading depressed life due to addiction.

CFI Church believes that the more people get aware about the ill effects, the greater control they can practise on such a social evil.
